Southwest Virginia Public Education Foundation, Inc.

Established in February 1993, the Southwest Virginia Public Education Foundation, Inc. is a charitable not-for-profit corporation, which exists to improve public education in Southwest Virginia. The Foundation supports the work of the Southwest Virginia Public Education Consortium, comprised of 16 public school districts and 9 higher education institutions and legislated by the Commonwealth of Virginia. The first of its kind in Virginia, the Consortium focuses on improvement through benchmarking, innovative leadership, and partnerships.
